Treliana Kareel, sometimes referred to as the Crusader, was a Force-sensative female Miralukan Jedi Knight who served the Jedi Order and led Republic forces against the Sith Empire's conquests in the Great Galactic War. A skilled warrior and tactical genius, Treliana was destined to lead since her childhood as the daughter of Count Arcesius Kareel. Inducted into the Order at an early age, she began her training shortly before the Great Galactic War engulfed the galaxy.
During the war's onset, Treliana took command of the 2nd Siege Battalion, an elite Special Forces Unit of the Republic Military. This came as a shock, given that her Miralukan culture seemed to turn away from conflict. Nevertheless, she gained a reputation of legendary proportions and earned the comedic nickname by which her troops referred to her as: Crusader.
